The Dronacharya Awards Ceremony, a grand event honouring the outstanding educators, was held on Wednesday in the Techno India University (EM-4, Sector V, Salt Lake), seminar hall.
The event served to felicitate 400 distinguished heads of institutions, subject teachers, and chief coordinators from across the state of West Bengal for their profound and outstanding contributions to the field of education.

The ceremony was attended by Ujjal Biswas, minister, department of science, technology & biotechnology; Ms Darshana Banik, actress; Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, co-chairperson, Techno India Group and co-chancellor, Techno India University; Dr Chiranjib Bhattacharya, Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University and president, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education; Ms Pauline Laravoire, sustainability director, Techno India Group; and Dr Tapas Mukherjee, director, Techno India Group.
Prof. Manoshi RoyChowdhury emphasised the pivotal role of the awardees, stating, “The Dronacharya awardees are the true architects of our society. They don’t just impart knowledge; they ignite the critical thought, creativity, and moral compass that will guide the next generation of leaders. This ceremony is our profound acknowledgment that the future of West Bengal is being built, brick by brick, in their classrooms.”
Meghdut RoyChowdhury, chief innovation officer and executive director, Techno India Group, addressed the awardees, noting: “Innovation begins with inspiration.
